SCO Shines at NOA Summer Meeting

Southern College of Optometry (SCO) was honored at the National Optometric Association’s 47th annual summer meeting with three awards. The SCO chapter of the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA) received the Chapter of the Year Award; faculty member Dr. Janette Dumas was named Doctor of the Year; and 2015 graduate Dr. Brittany Tounsel was named Student of the Year. In addition, Kirsten McKnight, SCO Class of 2016, was inaugurated as NOSA’s national president for 2015-16, marking the second year in a row that an SCO student has served in this national leadership position.
