For the first time in many years, ASCO is embarking on a comprehensive strategic planning process to develop a five-year, organization-wide plan that will drive priority initiatives, annual work plans and budgets for the Association. The process will be as inclusive as possible and will include input from ASCO committees, special interest groups, staff and other stakeholders.

The ASCO Strategic Planning Task Force is chaired by Dr. Karla Zadnik (OSU), ASCO’s President-Elect, and includes President Dr. David Heath (SUNY), Immediate Past President Dr. Jennifer Coyle (PUCO), At-Large Board Member Dr. David A. Damari (MCO), Board Member Dr. Larry J. Davis (UMSL), Board Member Dr. Lewis Reich (SCO) and Executive Director Dawn Mancuso, MAM, CAE, FASAE.

The task force is assigned with designing and stewarding the planning process, which is in its initial phase. The goal is to have a finalized plan before spring 2017. More information on ASCO’s strategic plan will appear in future issues of Eye on Education.
