ASCO Student Affairs Officers Meet in Washington

The ASCO Student Affairs Officers met in Washington on June 19 during the American Optometric Association (AOA) meeting to discuss a variety of issues, including ASCO strategic planning, OptomCAS and the effort to further develop a robust, diverse and highly qualified national applicant pool. Staff from the American Dental Association (ADA) were on hand to discuss the latest on the OAT exam. The afternoon consisted of a presentation from Dr. Richard Valachovic, President and CEO of the American Dental Education Association on Addressing Stress within Health Professions Education and Beyond and a workshop on self-assessment tools used for students such as StrengthsFinder, LASSI, DISC and the Whole Brain.
