Salus University and its Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) recently announced the following appointments:
• Dr. Janice Scharre, Salus University Provost. Dr. Scharre, who has been Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs since January, facilitated the development of the Salus PCO Scholars Program.
• Dr. Susan Oleszewski, Salus University Chief of Staff. Dr. Oleszewski, a tenured faculty member at PCO, most recently served as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Executive Director of The Eye Institute.
• Dr. Mitchell Scheiman, Salus University Interim Dean of Research. Dr. Scheiman, a researcher, clinician and educator, has served as Associate Dean of Clinical Research and Director of PCO’s Pediatric/Binocular Vision programs.
• John M. Gaal, FACHE, Salus University Vice President for Clinical Operations. Gaal, formerly of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, will be responsible for the university’s clinical operations, including The Eye Institute and the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center.
