Gerald Simon, OD, received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award at the 2022 Hooding and Convocation Ceremony. The Dean’s Distinguished Service Award acknowledges leadership and service to the community and the optometric profession.
 
Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month is observed annually in May to celebrate the contributions that generations of people who identify as AANHPI have made to American history, society, and culture.
 
Family, friends and colleagues gathered recently at an event to honor Dr. Satya Verma — who joined the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) faculty in 1971 — on his retirement at the end of 2021 after 50 years at PCO/Salus.
 
It was the first of its kind for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) at Salus University, but it will likely not be the last because of the interactive and informative atmosphere created for incoming Doctor of Optometry students at the recent inaugural PCO/Salus Accepted Students Day.
 
Never let it be said that April Mishley ‘23OD and Fayaz Vizam ‘24OD don’t know how to celebrate a big accomplishment.
 
Midwestern University celebrated the graduations of master’s and doctoral degree recipients who are beginning their professional careers in healthcare at several ceremonies during the months of May and June on the Downers Grove, Illinois, and Glendale, Arizona, campuses.

The event will take place over two days via a virtual platform that offers simultaneous access to expert presentations; a dedicated exhibitor hall; educational materials, videos, and toolkits; on-demand educational content; and in-platform opportunities for networking and collaboration.
