ASCO staff member LaShawn Sidbury, CMP, has been promoted to the position of Director, Meetings and Special Interest Groups.
When LaShawn joined ASCO in 2007, she was responsible for managing seven Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and planning 19 events per year. She now manages 14 SIGs and 30 meetings per year, including the Association’s Summer Institute for Faculty Development and Future Faculty Program.
According to ASCO Executive Director Marty Wall, MPA, CAE, “LaShawn is also our ‘technology innovator,’ having been the driving force behind our development of online collaborative tools and our association management system. We’re fortunate to have LaShawn with ASCO and to be able to recognize her growth as an association executive in a tangible way.”
