OPHTHALMIC OPTICS EDUCATORS

Met: July 23-25, 2015, Michigan College of Optometry

Actions: Marilyn Smith and Dr. Natalie Hutchings, University of Waterloo, were appointed Chairs of the SIG; the SIG is recommending to the ASCO Board that ASCO become a member organization of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) Z80 (The Low Vision Educators SIG also supports this recommendation.); members decided to incorporate an Educating the Educator session into each workshop; the SIG will meet next on July 21-23, 2016, in Ontario, Canada.
