Dr. John Flanagan
Dr. John Flanagan, Professor and Dean of the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry and member of the ASCO Board of Directors, was one of three eyecare professionals to be elected a Life Fellow of the United Kingdom’s College of Optometrists this November. Fellowship of the College is awarded to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession or to the College. Dr. Flanagan was recognized specifically for his research in glaucoma and diabetic eye disease and his contributions to the development of optometric education in the U.K. and Canada.
