He compared average salaries and stress levels of the 747 occupations identified by the U.S. Department of Labor, utilizing the “stress tolerance” data that is gathered by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Occupational Information Network. Stress tolerance is rated on a 0-100 scale, with a lower rating indicating less stress. It measures how frequently workers must accept criticism and deal effectively with high stress on the job.
