In August 2016, ASCO President Dr. Karla Zadnik appeared on All Sides with Ann Fisher, a public affairs radio talk show broadcast by WOSU 89.7 NPR News in Ohio. Dr. Zadnik’s discussion with Fisher coincided with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Contacts Lens Health Week.

Dr. Zadnik explained the differences between the various contact lens modalities, including daily disposable vs. monthly replacement and options for presbyopes. She emphasized how important it is for patients to work with an eyecare professional who can help them decide which vision correction option is best for them: spectacles, contact lenses or refractive surgery.

Dr. Zadnik also emphasized the importance of proper lens wear and care in preventing eye infections and ocular damage. Visit WOSU Radio’s website to hear the entire interview.
